The Moon Phases, 2025

by Nikola Vudrag

About the Artwork

This series of seven sculptures explores the changing rhythm of the lunar cycle, from the first crescent to the full moon. Each piece captures a different moment of light and shadow, revealing how form shifts with movement and illumination. The shadowed areas are not made of metal but are created by the sculpture’s own cast shadows, blurring the line between presence and absence. The work invites viewers to reflect on cycles, perception, and the balance between what is seen and what is unseen.
